Much to be excited for if you’re a fan of Half-Life. The title will be a prequel to Half-Life 2. Valve just announced that Half-Life is getting a VR release titled Half-Life Alyx. This isn’t the only Half-Life news that’s been announced recently.
If you’re interested in the game, you can purchase it on Steam. What’s changed, though, is the design of the levels and graphical quality to be at modern-day standards.
Haven’t heard of Black Mesa before? It’s a full remake of the original Half-Life, including the same plot and levels. Time will still tell whether the expansion is as good as was promised. As quoted by the developers themselves, “We want our version of Xen to feel like it really belongs with the rest of the game in terms of mechanics, cohesion, and progression.” Given what we’ve gotten of Xen so far, many are confident that the finale will live up to the fan’s expectations. Id probably argue that its the best way to experience the classic tale, period. This long wait will be worth it, though, as the developers have promised great improvements upon Half-Life 1‘s Xen. It is a little over 8 miles RT on a decent trail to the granite obelisk on top. Stay close to the trailhead at Black Mesa B&B, have the 6 am breakfast and start hiking. 84 PC Gamer Black Mesa Source winds up being exactly what it always promised to be a modernised, faithful recreation of a deservedly landmark first-person shooter. A hike to the top of Black Mesa is on the list of all folks trying to hit all 50 state high points, and this may be one of the easier climbs with fantastic views. Only in the past few months has the game received bits and pieces of Xen, with some of the final levels and the final boss still missing from the game. Reviews A quality remake that broadens the scope of the original and massively improves its final chapters. Fans have been patiently waiting since September of 2012, with more delays than anyone can count at this point. This would be massive news for Black Mesa, as the game hasn’t received the entire area of Xen yet.
It would also make sense, given that we haven’t received an update to the game for a little while now.
This morning, the developers responded to a fan asking about rumors of the game being finished saying, “We’ve boosted the anti-mass spectrometer to 125%”. That percentage can be interpreted as 12/5, or the Thursday of this week. Black Mesa, the fan-made remake of the original Half-Life, may be fully completed this week.
